This coming weekend we have a packed few days, and we’d love you to come along and join us for some or all of what’s planned.
Friday evening: Hemel Old Town Beer Festival
Join us on Friday evening as we embark on a short crawl around some of the best pubs in Hemel Hempstead before finishing up at the excellent Hemel Old Town Beer Festival. We’ll be meeting at 6pm at the Full House, in The Marlowes, and will gather close to the door so you can find us easily.
We’ll make a brief stop in a few pubs before concluding our tour at the festival in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, which boasts around 30 cask ales plus a range of real cider and perry. If you’ve not experienced this event before, the church provides a delightful setting and it really is a fun atmosphere. Hope you can join us.
Saturday afternoon: Branch Meeting plus Hertford pub trail
On Saturday afternoon, we’re holding our annual summer branch meeting. This will be a special general meeting for the purposes of signing off the branch accounts, but most of the proceedings will comprise discussion about campaigning matters. We’re meeting at 1pm at the Hertford Club, Bull Plain, and all members are welcome to join the discussions.
On conclusion of the meeting, we will be taking a wander around some of the finest pubs of Hertford town centre. Why not come along and mix business with pleasure at this combined meeting and social afternoon!
Sunday afternoon: Potters Bar pub trail
As if all that wasn’t enough, Sunday afternoon sees us head to Potters Bar. We’ll be meeting at the Admiral Byng, in the town centre, at midday, before setting off to check out some of the real ale pubs in and around the town centre with a brief stop in each.
The plan is then to finish up at the Cask & Stillage in High Street which is hosting its first ever beer festival and deserves our support.
The following weekend: St Albans
The fun continues into next weekend too. On Saturday 27th July we have a social around the pubs of St Albans City Centre, starting at 1pm at the Robin Hood, Victoria Street.
I hope to see you there!
