Congratulations to the Robin Hood in Victoria Street, St Albans for winning silver in the branch pub of the year competition 2026.
The pub will be presented with its Silver award on Wednesday 6th May from 8pm.
The Robin Hood is a warm and friendly single-bar, community pub handy for St Albans City station with an ever changing beer range and a wide selection of real cider.
It won Branch Pub of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and Cider Pub of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
There is a secluded garden to the rear plus traditional jukebox, dart board, table skittles, board games, and daily newspapers.
New for 2026 is the city’s only pub bar billiards table and a selection of pies, pasties and sausage rolls generally available.
To coincide with the presentation the pub will be hosting a tap-takeover from the award-winning brewery Thornbridge. From 5th-12th May, sixteen of the brewery’s beers, both cask and keg, will rotate across the pumps.
The gold award will be presented to the Old Cross Tavern in Hertford on Thursday 30th April at 8pm and the bronze award to the Great Northern in St Albans on Wednesday 10th June at 7pm.
