April branch meeting Tuesday 18th April 2017

Written by Les Middlewood

Tuesday 18th April 2017 – Bull, London Colney.

The April branch meeting will take place at the Bull, London Colney from 8pm on Tuesday 18th April 2017.

We hope you enjoyed the slightly different format at the March branch meeting at the Horse & Groom, Hatfield. We tried to keep business issues to a minimum and there were more than usual at this meeting due to it being the first of the year.

This month we have Ben Wilkinson, a South Herts member who recently joined the National Executive at CAMRA’s AGM and Members’ Weekend in Bournemouth (congratulations, Ben!), to answer any questions you may have about the near future and direction of CAMRA on a national level. This will hopefully be an involved and informative discussion.

For those less familiar the Bull is a lovely old 17th-century timbered building near the River Colne. It is a cosy, locals-oriented pub with wonderful original features. As well as being an excellent venue for a meeting the pub also hosts other events such as quiz on every second Sunday of the month and live music on Saturday. If you fancy something to eat during the meeting there is a great value menu offering home-made meals.

If you’re travelling by public transport your best best is to get there by bus. There’s a stop right outside for bus routes 84, 602, 636, 658, 659, 714. The nearest train station is technically Park Street, but that’s still nearly 4km away and less accessible that some of the mainline stations like St Albans City or Hatfield.

We hope to see you there!
