Young Members social to the East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival

Written by Tom Blakemore

Calling all Young Members!

Our monthly Young Members social will has been arranged! On Saturday 22nd April we’ll be meeting up with other Young Members from East Anglia at the East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Run by the West Suffolk branch of CAMRA the East Anglian festival will be stocking over 100 real ales, ciders and perries featuring award winners from around the UK. We’ll probably spend a few hours in the festival then go around the town sampling a few of Bury’s best pubs before getting a train back in the evening.

Anyone wishing to attend please contact me by email so we can coordinate travel times. I plan to get a train from Kings Cross to either Cambridge, Stowmarket or Ely then change for a train to Bury St Edmunds. Takes around 2.5 hours so will probably leave around 10am to arrive at the festival around lunchtime.

The last beer festival trip we did to the National Winter Ales Festival in Norwich was a great success so this should be a fun day and a great opportunity to meet fellow Young Members from around the region!

I hope you can make it!

If you haven’t done so already please like/follow the CAMRA YM East Anglia Facebook page, which you’ll get up to date information about what’s going on in the region with Young Members, including the socials and events.
