In January it’s time to select the 26 pubs that the Branch is allotted for the 2019 edition of the Good Beer Guide. To achieve some geographical cover of our area we arrange ourselves into four Zones and each Zone will be allocated a number of pubs.
The dates, times and venues for the January zone selection meetings are:
- North East Zone
Thursday 11th January at the Hertford Club, Hertford – 8pm - West & South Zone (combined meeting)
Tuesday 16th January at the Robin Hood, St Albans – 8pm / 8.30pm - North East Zone
Thursday 18th January at the Cross Keys, Harpenden – 7.45pm
Members intending to attend the January zone selection meetings should bring along their membership card and use the interim period to visit and assess pubs for possible inclusion in the Guide.

Proxy voting
Members who are unable to attend the above meetings but still want to cast votes can do this by making proxy votes. This will be via the Branch website and the opportunity to do this will be opened in mid-December.
