We are contemplating running a Branch mini-bus trip from St Albans and Hatfield area to this excellent festival held in the historic ex-maltings in Kibes Lane, Ware. Much will depend on the level of interest shown in response to this email – we will gauge if we can financially make it happen.
The Ware Beer Festival 2018 is 21 Years old this year and has got the key to the door! – to the former Waggers pub building, immediately next door to the familiar Arts Centre where the Festival has previously been held, still sharing part of the same building. Run by CAMRA members in aid of local Ware charities this excellent festival will continue to feature 26 cask-conditioned beers, 4 ciders/perries with hotdogs on the barbeque and snacks to help fuel the evening.
Our idea is to run a mini-bus on the Friday evening to arrive at the Festival at 7pm – then leaving at 11.15 for the return trip. It is likely that the cost will be in the order of £15 plus entry ticket of £3 which includes a commemorative glass. We would arrange for tickets for those on the bus.
An alternative might be to co-ordinate taxi runs.
If you are interested in joining a mini-bus etc, please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 21st March.
If you are more local to Ware and are aiming to visit the Festival anyway, tickets will be available in advance – from mid-March – from the Brewery Tap, High Street, and Crooked Billet, Musley Hill, Ware. The Festival is open on Friday and Saturday 13th/14th April from 6.30pm to 11pm.
