Guest Speaker: John Keeling from Fullers of Chiswick
Our July Branch Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 17 July at the Harpenden Arms, Harpenden – situated at the junction of High Street and Station Road – at 8pm
Our speaker is John Keeling, former Head Brewer of Fullers – and now an ambassador for the company, its beers and pubs. John joined Fullers in 1981 and progressed to Head Brewer. He is a fervent supporter of the company but also of all brewers brewing good beer. He will be open with his views and this will be a great opportunity to hear about Fullers, their history and where they currently stand, together with a chance to ask John questions about the company’s beers and his take on the current brewing scene.
The Harpenden Arms was completely refurbished in 2016 stocking a range of up to seven Fullers and guest beers. Until the 1960’s it was called the Railway Hotel. With its prominent position in the town centre, there is a tidy and comfortable interior and a small outside drinking area. The pub is open all day from 11am with food available from noon until mid-evening.
Harpenden railway station is 250 metres away with trains south to St Albans and north to Luton.
