Tuesday 19th June 2018 – Six Bells, St Albans – 8pm.
The June Branch Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 19th June at the Six Bells, St Michaels, St Albans at 8pm.
Our speaker is Iain Loe, recent winner of the Branch’s Dave Burns Award, for his record and efforts in furthering the aims of CAMRA and real ale both locally and nationally. He is a former employee of CAMRA at our HQ in St.Albans. Among his achievements is the setting up of the European Beer Consumers Union, now with representatives from all over the continent. The non-political organisation includes the preservation of beer diversity as one of its aims. Iain will tell us of its formation, its work and how it will be moving forward in the years to come.
The Six Bells is a 16th century timbered Free House featuring in the Good Beer Guide, offering six real ales and good home-cooked food, which is served lunchtimes and evenings. It is open all day. The pub is a 10 minute walk from the famous Abbey. Verulamium Museum is just around the corner.
Local evening buses include the 300 and 301 routes.
